Review : 3 spring/summer lip products

How oh how have we plummeted back into freezing temperatures? With winds making the Midlands as cold as Siberia; I literally woke up today and could see my breath in the bathroom - mmm student housing.
Anyways trends stop for no one, and summery colours are pushing there way onto the high street shelves in abundance. I'm a sucker for summery lip products and colours that exude vibrance so here are a few that I picked up in my twenty minute break from my shift at work. If you know what you want make the most of that break.

Topshop Lipstick in Infared £9 - Now the new SS13 Topshop collection does contain 2 bright lipsticks in a purple and a fuchsia but this orange lippie is so beautifully bright and raved about by miss zoella in the past, I really wanted to try it. Bright like the sun this is a strong orange and far far away from my usual bright reds, pinks and purples. I have a warm skin tone and I found that I could actually wear it more simply than orangey reds such as MACs Lady Danger. The ease I had in wearing it means its knocking the other lippies out of my make-up bag, speedily! My only minor issue with it is that it comes off quite easily but I don't mind re-applying throughout the day especially when people see me break out a BRIGHT ORANGE in the library....yea i went there...orange!

Topshop Lip Paint in Yeah Right £8  - I did pick up a product from the Summer Collection and its this gorgeous orangey-red lip paint. I'm not a fan of large chunks of glitter in my lip glosses so this "paint" is a beauty. It goes on easily and is not too over glossy. Throughout the day it stains my lips so I have that orange hue hindering which I like. The doe foot applicator does not pick up too much product and too right as this lip paint should go on sparingly! Build it to get the desired colour, its vibrancy should not be underestimated.

Okay now for a brand I have not tried before. I wander past this stand in Superdrug frequently and my friend Clelia has mentioned the brand Look to me before, saying the products look pretty but she was "unsure." SO I picked up one product which was actually on offer:

Look Beauty Loud Lip Liner in Rock Candy was £4, bought for £2.
I always buy the same lip liners and this stood out to me because it is so bright and barbie-esque. The neon pink is so shocking and summery that I thought for £2 it cannot really disappoint. The application of the pencil is quite simple and easy, with little pull on my lips. Partnered with my number 49 lipstick from The Body Shop I am left with a whole-other-level of bright pink lips.

My addiction to lipstick is clear - nothing makes me feel better than bright colours popping on the lips, whatever the day, mood or weather. Every girl has her vice and as the range of colours, textures and finishes just get better and better my collection will have to make room.

Who's ready for some sunshine?

Love G xx
